Our Story
The journey to creating Self Health Living began with a life-changing realization when my parents faced significant health challenges during their golden years. The time they set aside to finally travel and take it easy changed their life plans as my mother suffered a minor stroke. She ended up being diagnosed with a carotid artery disease that was exacerbated due to a family history of diabetes and high cholesterol. My father’s health gradually declined as he had both his knees replaced and later went through a heart valve replacement due to a congenital heart disease and eventually needed a pacemaker. Witnessing their struggles and the impact of these conditions on their quality of life was a wake-up call for me. It was a stark reminder of how crucial it is to prioritize health and wellness, not just for ourselves but for the whole family.
Inspired by my family’s resilience and the desire to prevent similar issues in my own life and others, I embarked on a mission to learn and share as much as possible about living a healthier, more balanced life.
