Last updated: March 7, 2026

Self Health Living (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Self Health Living iOS application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
  • Lab results: Blood test values (e.g. cholesterol, glucose, hormone levels) and associated dates that you manually enter.
  • Cycle tracking data: Menstrual period dates, flow levels, symptoms, mood, and notes, if you choose to enable the optional Cycle Tracking feature.
  • Notes and documents: Any free-text notes you enter in the App.

Health Data from Apple HealthKit

With your explicit permission, the App reads the following data types from Apple HealthKit:

  • Heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and resting heart rate
  • Step count and active energy burned
  • Sleep analysis (sleep duration and stages)
  • Respiratory rate and body temperature
  • VO2 max and workout data

HealthKit data is read locally on your device to calculate your health scores and display trends. HealthKit data is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To display your health metrics, trends, and scores within the App.
  • To store your lab results and cycle entries securely so you can access them across devices.
  • To calculate informational health pattern summaries (not medical advice).

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account and health data (lab results, cycle entries) are stored in a secure cloud database provided by Supabase, Inc. All data is:

  • Encrypted in transit using TLS.
  • Encrypted at rest.
  • Access-controlled by Row Level Security (RLS) policies — only you can read or write your own data.
  • Stored in data centers in the United States.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with advertisers or third-party data brokers.

4. HealthKit Data

In accordance with Apple’s HealthKit guidelines:

  • HealthKit data is used only to provide features within the App.
  • HealthKit data is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
  • HealthKit data is never shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
  • HealthKit data is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

5. Cycle Tracking Data

Cycle tracking is an optional feature you must explicitly enable in Settings. If enabled:

  • Period dates, flow levels, symptoms, mood, and notes are stored in your personal account.
  • This data is never shared with third parties.
  • You can delete all cycle entries at any time from within the App.

This feature is informational only and does not constitute medical advice.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the App. This permanently removes:

  • Your account credentials
  • All lab results
  • All cycle tracking entries
  • All health metrics and documents

Deletion is irreversible and takes effect immediately.

7. FTC Health Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a breach involving your personally identifiable health information, we will notify affected users in compliance with the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule within the required timeframe.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
